8 Liquid Handling n web: www.alphalabs.co.uk Positive Displacement Microdispensers Positive Displacement Microdispensers Fixed Volume Microdispensers The range of fixed volume microdispensers provides reliable, accurate delivery of single volumes using stainless steel plungers and borosilicate glass capillaries, or polypropylene bores for the 1000µl model. Volumetric accuracy of these pipettes at full volume is ±1%. A pack of colour-coded capillaries or plastic tips of the appropriate volume together with essential maintenance tools accompany each dispenser. The 5µl model can be adapted to dispense 1, 2, 3 or 4µl using the set of 4 colour-coded spacers provided with the pipette. The required spacer is fitted over the plunger by removing the fingerpad. Similarly the 200µl model can be adapted to dispense 100µl. The 1000µl model can also be teamed with a Repeat Kit for continuous pipetting or dispensing manifolds for use with 96 and 384 Well plates. Microdispenser Capillaries/Bores Drummond Microdispenser capillaries are suitable for use with all Microdispensers. They are manufactured from chemical resistant, borosilicate glass with the exception of the 1000µl bores which are manufactured from tough polypropylene. All microdispenser capillaries are colour coded to help you easily identify the correct volume bore.
