Ideal for PCR, long term compound storage, light sensitive assays and robotics. A 48µm soft non-permeable aluminium foil sealing film with 30µm layer of strong acrylic adhesive. Provides an excellent seal for all plate materials (e.g. polystyrene, polypropylene and two component polycarbonate/ polypropylene PCR plates), whilst still removing cleanly from plate surfaces with no adhesive stringing, residue or contamination. ■ Single end-tab features a custom perforation that will not tear during removal ■ Excellent barrier properties minimises sample evaporation ■ 48µm thick aluminium foil minimises shredding during removal and is ideal for cold storage ■ Conformable foil allows visual verification of seal security Available in two sizes: LW2732 - Foils measures 78.3 x 29mm with sufficient sealing area for all plate types (e.g. flat top and raised-rim). Chamfered corners result in no plate overhang for robotics applications. Length between the perforation with end tab removed and the end of the foil seal is 118.1mm. LW2731 - Foil measures 81.5 x 135.4 mm with sufficient sealing area for all flat top style microplates, for example deep well, ELISA, or PCR plates. The large cut is designed for greater plate coverage, resulting in a more complete seal around the edges of flat top plates. Ideal for use with deep well plates. Features one end-tab with perforations. Length between the perforation with end tab removed and the end of the foil seal is 124.5 mm. eXTReme™ FoilSeal™ ThermalSeal RTS™ sealing films are optically clear, with low autofluorescence, and are especially suited for real-time qPCR, storage, and protein crystallisation applications. When pressed against the sealing surface, the inert encapsulated silicone adhesive is released to form the strongest available heat-resistant seal around each well on the plate. Adhesive on non-sealing areas of the film, such as directly over sample wells, remains encapsulated and inert. Sized to fit within the edges of raised-rim 96-Well plates, their consistent high optical clarity ensures reproducible, reliable, and consistent DNA amplification measurements and crystal detection.
