ACE activity is used as a predictive test for diseases such as sarcoidosis and hypertension. The rate of decrease in absorbance is directly proportional to the ACE activity in the sample. Expected Values: Based on normal data a cut-off of 2 ACE µ/L is proposed. Values >2 ACEµ/L should be regarded as elevated and potentially pathologic.
